REDLINE Fight Sports has the some of the most qualified coaches in the Boston area for professional MMA, Kickboxing and Boxing development. We have trained several national and international champions and our fighters have earned numerous titles, championships and title belts. Our coaches have a combined experience of over 50 years in fighting and teaching.

Mixed Martial Arts

Head Coach - Paul 'Lefty' Rosado

Paul began his martial arts training at the age of 12 in Chinese wrestling (Shuai Jiao) and joint locking (Chin-na) application. He was taught Kickboxing by his late uncle, who was a well known fighter in his prime, while continuing to gain expertise in grappling earning black belts in kung-fu and Jiu-Jitsu. Paul began fighting Vale Tudo and won 2 U.S. National Championships in submission fighting while in his late teens. He then went on to become a professional boxer with over 19 fights. Cross training with some the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coaches around, Paul has developed a cutting edge Mixed Martial Arts and Submission Fighting program that has produced top fighters in MMA, grappling and SanDa Kickboxing. He has the rare ability to synthesize his traditional Chinese Martial Arts background with state of the art MMA. Paul has recently gotten fighters UFC contracts and was offered a contract himself to be a regional trainer exclusively for the WEC, which he turned down in order to maintain his flexibility as a coach. Paul has a true passion for training fighters and aspires to build a top national MMA team.


Head Coach - David Ginsberg

David has been teaching Jiu Jitsu, MMA and fitness for over a decade. His studies include a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu earned in 2003, time spent in Thailand for Muay Thai, and extensive exposure to boxing and wrestling. He has trained at numerous Gracie schools and in Brazil with Dela Riva and BTT --many of the pioneers of Jiu Jitsu and MMA. In addition to numerous NAGA titles and the 1999 New England Gold, David won back-to-back gold medals at the Pan American Games for Jiu Jitsu in 2002 and 2003. In 2004, he was the only American on the podium in his division where he garnered the black belt Silver Medal. He has trained numerous MMA fighters for large shows including the UFC, as well as for local shows. His background in gymnastics and competitive athletics inform his teaching style, as does his education in yoga, meditation, and mind-body training. In the MMA world, in addition to cornering, training, and coaching fighters, David serves as judge, referee, and has interviewed and commentated live on-camera for Pay-per-view shows.

Sanda Kickboxing
Head Coach - Marvin Perry

Marvin began training in Karate at the age of thirteen in 1991 and then went on to Shaolin Kung-Fu. In 1996, Marvin began San-Shou Kickboxing training with Jason Yee. After less than one year of training, Marvin won a bronze medal at the 1996 Nationals. Since then he has been undefeated in U.S. amateur as well as professional bouts. He is the only competitor in the U.S. to have won pro titles in San-Shou, Sanda, Muay Thai and American kickboxing. Head Coach - Josh Bartholomew

Josh Bartholomew, head coach of Redline Fight Sports, is also a local Cambridge resident and a Chemistry teacher at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. Under Coach Jason Yee, Josh won the National Title in San Shou three times (1995, 1998, and 1997) and was a member of the Pan American team in 1998, and the US National Team in 1999. He was also a National Tai Chi 'Push Hands' Champion. Josh has had a total of 35 fights, with a record of 25-10. Josh’s kickboxing students explain that he is a “born teacher,” a coach who “treats the beginner and the seasoned fighter with respect and integrity.” His students explain that “He helps every student reach their personal best.”

Boxing
Head Coach - Lyle Lashley

Lyle started boxing as a youth and competed for many years with much success in the Golden Gloves. After a long fight career, Lyle went on to became a trainer and coach at the old Somerville Boxing gym and produced many competitive fighters over the years, including at least 15 National Level Golden Gloves Champions and Rocky Marciano Tournament Champions. Lyle also has extensive experience working with kickboxers & Mixed Martial Artists to improve their boxing technique, having trained Sityodtong coach Mark DellaGrotte to beat the Thai's at their own game, as well as many other Kickboxers and MMA fighters, including recently Jorge Gurgel of the UFC. USA Boxing certified with a class-2 coaches license, Lyle teaches Olympic Style Boxing to our boxers, kickboxers and MMA fighters and coaches a competitive Golden Gloves program at REDLINE.
